Configuration
You will learn how to configure your integrations in the Nextmv Cloud console.
You can augment your runs on Nextmv with two types of configuration: integrations and run profiles.
  • Integrations extend Nextmv optimization with additional services (e.g., real-road or traffic data) or extend an additional service (e.g., a dispatching and fleet management application) with Nextmv optimization features.
  • Run profiles enable you to specify components of your model once (e.g., integrations) and re-use them across multiple runs.
You can set up and edit integrations and run profiles directly through the Nextmv Cloud Console user interface. Follow the steps below to set up your configuration through the Console.
  • Onfleet integration: Learn how to set up the Onfleet integration through the Console.
  • Run profiles: Learn how to create run profiles using your integrations.
Note, integrations and run profiles can also be set up and edited through the Nextmv Cloud API. See the configuration page in the API reference for more information.

Onfleet

Onfleet is a logistics software focused on dispatch and fleet management. You can leverage the power of Nextmv's cloud API with the Onfleet integration.
Follow the steps below to configure the Onfleet integration via the Nextmv Cloud Console.
Note, you will need your Onfleet API key to create an Onfleet integration in Nextmv.
  1. 1.
Sign in to the Nextmv Cloud Console.
  2. 2.
Click the Integrations icon on the left sidebar to go to the integrations page.
  3. 3.
Click on the Onfleet box. Then, click "Add Onfleet Integration" (at the top right).
  4. 4.
Give your new Onfleet integration a name. Note, the name will automatically populate the "ID" field, which cannot be modified once created.
  5. 5.
Paste your Onfleet API key into the API key field.
  6. 6.
    Click "Create new Onfleet integration."
  7. 7.
The My Integrations page opens, with your new integration displayed.
Once the integration has been configured, you can add it to run profiles and use it via the Nextmv Cloud API. Learn more.

Run profiles

Run profiles are used to configure settings such as integrations to be used across multiple application runs within the API. You will need to have at least one integration installed to create a run profile with an integration.
Follow the steps below to configure your run profile.
  1. 1.
Click the Settings icon on the left sidebar to go to the settings page.
  2. 2.
    Click "Create run profile."
  3. 3.
Give your run profile a name for reference. Note, the name will automatically populate the "ID" field below, but you can change the ID before you create your run profile.
  4. 4.
Select the integration you want to add from the drop-down menu. Then, click "Add." Note, only one integration per functionality can be added for each run profile (e.g., you can only add one traffic data provider integration, but you can add both a traffic provider and a dispatching application integration).
  5. 5.
    Click "Create run profile."
